If you find that your battery fluid levels are way down in at least one cell fill them with distilled water, not tap water. If the battery still acts weak, drain some of the water out and replace it with sulfuric acid then charge it up. If the plates aren't shorted out and the poles aren't broken this will put life back into any battery.
